ChinaSource App — Delete Your Account
Applies to the ChinaSource mobile app published by ChinaSource.
Delete from inside the app
- Open the ChinaSource app and sign in.
- Tap the account icon in the top-right corner of the Home screen.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion is immediate. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it.
Delete by email
If you can no longer access the app, email info@chinasource.org from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my ChinaSource app account". We will delete the account within 30 days and confirm by reply.
What is deleted
- Your account record (email, display name, sign-in links)
- Saved articles, folders, notes, and followed authors
- Push-notification device registrations
What is kept
- Anonymous usage analytics that are not linked to your account (Firebase Analytics), retained for up to 14 months
- Server logs, retained for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting
